Finding new Open Source projects - in San Francisco

Few months ago, Erwan (our wonderful sysdamin managing Antepedia, the largest Knowledge Base of Open Source components) looked for new open source projects in Carbo Verde. Since I'm spending a few days in San Francisco, I decided to see if I could find some here. First I went to to the famous golden gate bridge, which seems to be a good starting point

LibreOffice vs OpenOffice: Anatomical study of a fork

Last week, the first LibreOffice conference gathering all the "New" LibreOffice community was organized in Paris (co-located at "La cantine" and "IRILL"). It focused on the future and the needs of this community after the schism with OpenOffice.org, now hosted in Apache Incubator.
