Antelink is thrilled to present you the new service for the Open Source community. The Antepedia Open Source project search engine allows you to find all the information needed about the projects that released the uploaded Open Source component.
Antepedia searches information about the release of your component in the largest knowledge base of 660.000 Open Source projects and 165 million files. The Antepedia search engine gives you valuable information about your component.
Antepedia informs you about the Open Source project from which your component comes. You also have the description of the Open Source project and when and where these Open Source project are hosted. Often, developers rename the files and it happens you don't remember where does this artifact comes from. Antepedia finds back the name of the artifact as it was released. For each project, Antepedia also displays where the information were found.
To illustrate the Antepedia search engine, we made a tutorial video that explains the how to use Antepedia.
If you want to use Antepedia on your profesional project, the best way is to use it within the Release Cooker. You then won't have to upload your components on the Antepedia search engine and you will get the information directly. Moreover by using the Release Cooker, you can have access to your components history in your software own history. In other words, the Release Cooker tracks the information of your components in your repository history and in the Open Source history.
If you want a demo of the use of Antepedia on an Open Source project, visit the BonitaSoft demo page of the Release Cooker. The Antelink team works everyday to improve the softwares and services.
